Treatment may involve:

  • A mix of CBT, DBT, Schema, ACT, mindfulness, and solution-focused approaches.

  • Developing understanding, awareness, and insight into your difficulties.

  • Identifying and changing maladaptive and unhelpful thinking and behavioural patterns.

  • Understanding your relationships and patterns within them, and how this may be contributing to difficulties.

  • Learning a variety of strategies to manage anxiety, panic, distress, anger, low mood, and relationship difficulties.

  • Learning a variety of strategies to help change your mindset.

  • In addition to the above, treatment will be driven by the principles of attachment-theory and emotion coaching/tuning into emotions for parents.

  • Understanding the link between thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, and learning to change negative thinking and behavioural patterns.

  • Parents will often be involved in treatment, to help support their child.

  • Learning to face fears, regulate emotions, manage anger.

  • Improving social and family relationships.

  • A variety of strategies to manage emotions and change negative mindsets.
